Abstract:
Migration is considered a process of displacement of people from one territory to another, and although it is not considered a crime, due to globalization the need to regulate the entry and exit of people in a State has become a necessity for security, be it national, economic and, in recent years, also health. In these dimensions, and under the analysis of the migratory phenomenon, the human security approach acquires importance. The problem of migration is not the flow of people, it is the way in which displacement is generated, an irregular migration that instrumentalizes the human being and evades border regulatory policies, which can be considered a risk for the being and, in the case of Colombia, for security. The objective of this reflection article is to demonstrate the implications of irregular migration in the Darién region from the human security approach.
