Open-access Experience With Gamified Questionnaires: Perception Of University Students In The Subject Of Research Methodology

This quasi-experimental study examines the perceptions of 134 university students regarding the use of gamified quizzes as a teaching strategy in a Research Methodology course. An experimental group using the Quizizz platform was compared with a control group that followed a traditional approach. A validated 30-item questionnaire assessed motivation, participation, and perceived usefulness. Findings show that gamified quizzes significantly enhance student motivation and participation, although no substantial differences were observed in perceived learning quality. The study concludes that this strategy represents an effective alternative to foster student engagement in higher education, although its impact may vary depending on the characteristics of the educational context.
