Open-access Effective feedback generated by hybrid intelligence (AI/human) in distance education

Effective feedback on student work is important for achieving improvements in learning outcomes; however, this goal is not always attained. In this context, the present study designed effective feedback using hybrid intelligence, combining artificial (AI) and human intelligence, in order to address the three key questions of the model proposed by Hattie & Timperley (2007): Where am I? Where am I going? How do I get there? The objective was to measure the effect of feedback generated with hybrid intelligence on the academic performance and satisfaction of students at a Peruvian distance education university. The methodology used was experimental, and the results showed a 19% improvement in academic performance and a 9% increase in satisfaction for students in the experimental group.
